Hurricane HHS Varsity Clinches Lead In Seventh Inning To Defeat Green Canyon

Hurricane HHS Varsity ran off with the lead late in the game in a 21-17 victory over Green Canyon on Friday. The game was tied at 13 with Hurricane HHS Varsity batting in the top of the seventh when Rylee Kent singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Bats blistered as Hurricane HHS Varsity collected 15 hits and Green Canyon tallied nine in the high-scoring game.
Hurricane HHS Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning. Cayden Street doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Austin Burch was the winning pitcher for Hurricane HHS Varsity. He lasted two innings, allowing one hit and one run while walking one. Michael Martinez, Kyle Stevenson, and Zeb Hirschi all put in work on the pitcher's mound in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Jones took the loss for Green Canyon. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on seven hits and striking out three.
Street started the game for Hurricane HHS Varsity. He allowed two hits and seven runs over one inning, striking out one.
Hurricane HHS Varsity racked up 15 hits. Kent, Isaac Blair, Austin Wright, Kage Akipoleki, and Brian Long all had multiple hits for Hurricane HHS Varsity. Kent led Hurricane HHS Varsity with three hits in five at bats.
Green Canyon saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Rindlisbocker, #23 a, and Panter all collected multiple hits for Green Canyon.
