CEDAR 47, HURRICANE 36: The Lady Reds turned in a solid night at the free-throw line (8-of-11) and held off the Tigers to grab a piece of first place in 3A Region 9.

Courtnie Duncan had 10 points to pace Cedar, which improved to 5-2, 13-6.

Megan Clyde had 12 points to lead Hurricane (4-3, 9-10), which made only 9-of-20 from the charity stripe.

"We were attacking the rim, but you've got to make your free throws," said Tigers coach Clair Woodbury. "It's a pretty simple game. If you make your lay-ups and free throws, you usually win."
