Mission Statement The goal of Health Education\Physical Education at Hurricane High School is to help establish patterns of behavior that will assist a person in achieving complete health. Complete health is accomplished by having a balance of physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being. To offer students the opportunity to acquire knowledge, incorporate process and life skills, and develop positive attitudes about life. Development of a healthy body and a healthy mind will assist young people in living active, productive, and successful lives. The mission of public education in Utah is "To empower each student to function effectively in society as a competent, productive, caring and responsible citizen." This mission will best be accomplished if major emphasis is given to the qualities of character, ethical standards, and sound principles which are the hall mark of productive, caring and responsible individuals, families, communities, and societies
